One of the sites we went to see while in Marrakech was the Majorelle Gardens. These gardens were started by the French artist Jacques Majorelle in the 20’s. Later on fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent owned the gardens until his death. The gardens were very colorful, think blues, greens, yellows and oranges. The plants were nice respite from the heat. It took about fifteen minutes to walk through the entire place. At the end of the gardens there is a small gift shop. Unfortunately, photos are not allowed inside but they did have a beautiful pillow that was $600 and it wasn’t even made of gold!
