Leanbean in Germany

Military wife trying to figure out this military life

This weekend we took a very short trip to Dublin.  We left on Saturday morning around 5 am for the airport and we were welcomed to a blizzard that included lightning!  The trip to the airport was scary, especially with Joe behind the wheel.  At one point Joe decided to pass eight cars at once!  Somehow, we made it to the airport on time and in one piece.  We boarded our flight and we were on our way to Dublin for 36 blissful hours.

We tried to see everything we could, which consisted of Dublin Castle, Kilmainham Gaol, Guinness Storehouse, St. Michan’s Church, Christ Church and shopping.  The biggest “oops” moment came Saturday night when we went back to the hotel to take a nap.  Joe fell asleep around 5:30 and I fell asleep around 6:30 and we didn’t wake up till midnight, making us miss dinner and making us too tired to go out to the bars.  Luckily, we went to the bars the next day before we trekked back to the hotel.

Just some pictures of what we saw…

Dublin Castle

Christ Church

Kilmainham Gaol

Guinness Storehouse

(Notice how there is no sun in Germany?  We are practically translucent.)
